Children's Activities

First Baptist Church of Glenarden International offers several opportunities for your children to learn about God.

Coming Soon – Our New Children’s Center

We are committed to building an environment that encourages and empowers children to come to Jesus. Through a variety of worship services, events and programs, we foster an environment where children are nurtured, cared for and can grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. That’s why we’re excited to begin construction on our new children’s center, where we will have the space to expand our growing children’s ministries, investing in those who are so precious to God’s heart – and so important to the future of our church.

Current Programs and Activities

Child Care

Parents often feel they cannot get active in ministry because they have no one to watch their children during meeting times. Kids’ World fills that gap.

Sunday School

Sunday School provides an opportunity for children to engage with other youth while learning about the love of Christ on a level that they can understand.

Bible Study

Tuesday nights will never be the same after your child hears about the love of Christ while attending our Children’s or Youth R.E.B.E.L.S. Bible Study!

Discipleship Programs

Children are often overlooked as sharers of God's Word. Our discipleship programs will truly develop your child into a dynamic disciple of Christ.

Children's Institutes

Weekly instruction that focuses on Christian character and godly principles such as compassion, responsibility and self-control.

Children's Ministries

First Baptist has numerous ministries where children are nurtured, cared for and can grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ at First Baptist.

Unashamed Youth Ministry

Middle to high school students will never have to look for Friday night plans again! The Unashamed Ministry teaches teens how to be on fire for Christ in a fun way.

SHABACH! Christian Academy

SCA provides education to students in grades K-8.

Special Needs/Buddy Break

Buddy Break is a FREE Parents’ Day Out/respite program where kids with all types of special needs (VIP kids) have FUN while their parents get a BREAK.

Most of our children and youth activities operate through G.O.S.P.E.L. Kids’ Town, which requires registration. If you have not yet registered your child, follow these steps. Kids' Town team members will also be available to assist you on the spot so your child does not have to wait to experience all that we have to offer.

How to Register for G.O.S.P.E.L. Kids’ Town

Parents can sign in and register their kids on either side of Kids’ Town. If help is required, one of our team members will gladly assist you.

  • If you’re new to Kids’ Town, parents or guardians can sign their children up with any ministry team member.
  • Once your child has been signed up, parents should register their child(ren) using the kiosks located in either side of Kids’ Town.
  • Once you have registered, the kiosks will print out identical security badges for the parent and the child.
  • The security badges will be used to match children with the correct parent/ guardian at the time of pick-up.
  • Only the person that signs the child in can pick the child up, unless the security badge has been given to another person by the parent or guardian. A person must be 18 years or older to sign a child in and out.
  • Please remember to note the room number printed on the pass.
  • Your child(ren) can never meet you outside of Kids’ Town alone. You must come into Kids’ Town to pick them up.
