We are excited to announce an open casting call for the Christmas production, “Someway, Somehow,” on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, at 8 a.m. EDT.
We are looking for skilled singers, dancers and actors ages 5 and up. Prior musical theater experience is encouraged by not required. You must register to secure an audition spot. Pre-registration is available and strongly encouraged. Walk-ins will be accepted while audition slots are available.
Please arrive at FBCG Worship Center at 8 a.m. for check-in at 600 Watkins Park Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD.

“Someway, Somehow,” formerly known as “The Uncut Coming of Christ,” brings the story of Jesus’ birth to life in a modern and unique way. This Broadway-style musical features original scores and script, written and directed by the dynamic duo Anthony Brown and Joshua Jenkins. Through powerful storytelling, these two creators remind us that everyone has a story. Watch as a cast of unlikely characters plays a part in God’s plan to save the world through the birth of Jesus Christ.
Hosted at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Upper Marlboro, Md., this theatrical presentation has been 11 years in the making. It has grown from 3,000 attendees since its inception to over 20,000 in attendance across six shows a year. A mesmerizing production for the entire family to see, join the cast and journey of the three wise men as they take us on a multi-perspective adventure of the birth of the world’s Savior.
Auditionees should plan to attend the casting call from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Check-In: 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.
First Round Auditions: 10 a.m. to noon
Second Round Auditions: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Yes, all cast members will have to learn different choreography and stage movements for this production.

Refreshments will not be provided however, we encourage auditionees to provide their own food and beverage for the day.
Children under the age of 13 will need to have a parent on-site with them thr the entire audition.
Yes, walk-ins are welcomed to register on-site until 10 a.m. If you are under the age of 18, your parent or guardian will have to come inside to sign your paperwork.
We ask that you do not bring additional guests unless it is a parent or guardian.
No, those who fail to check in before 10 a.m. will not be permitted to audition.
All auditioning roles are non-paid.
Your likeness could be used to stream and view with no compensation.
