On Friday, Feb. 12, 2021, the Special Needs Ministry of the First Baptist Church of Glenarden will host Night to Shine, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation. Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older.
Night to Shine is held simultaneously around the world on the Friday before Valentine’s Day each year. This is not just an event, but an invitation into a community that values, honors and supports people with special needs and their families.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, Night to Shine 2021 will be a virtual experience. This unique virtual event will be complete with all of the treasured prom elements, as every guest will get to enjoy music, dancing, prom favors and messages from special guests. The evening will also include crowning each guest as king or queen of the prom.
