MISSION TRIP

Register for our Virtual Mission Trip to South Africa

In a partnership with Orchard: Africa, join us as we journey on a virtual mission trip to South Africa. Together, we will explore the land, culture and people of South Africa. You will also experience what God is doing in the communities served by Orchard and grow in your faith.

What is Orchard: Africa?

Orchard: Africa started in 1991 as a church ministry in Mafikeng, South Africa in response to vulnerable children rummaging through the city garbage dump for food. A few people from a local church decided to cook a pot of food and feed these children. From this compassionate response, the organization, Orchard: Africa, was born.

For the first ten years Orchard: Africa grew from being a church-led feeding project for thirty children, to becoming a multi-programmed response to the daily social and economic injustices that plagued vulnerable individuals in Africa.

Orchard: Africa has grown beyond being a church mission program to a registered ministry in its own right. Orchard: Africa moved beyond the town of Mafikeng, grew exponentially, and extended its reach to over 600 community churches and 100 funded programs in sub-Saharan Africa.

What will you experience during a virtual mission trip?

Participants will have a virtual mission trip experience that will enlighten them on the mandate from Jesus Christ to “Go Ye” as stated in Matthew 28:19-20. Each day of the trip, there will be a live event for one hour. Although the remainder of the day will be on your own time and self-paced, we encourage you to dedicate the time to immerse yourself into the overall experience.

How will the people of South Africa benefit from this virtual mission trip?

The impact is two way — participants will gain insight into missionary work, while also bringing the hope and compassion of Christ to African communities they previously could not reach.

Who should participate?

Anyone who has a heart to “Go Ye” as stated in Matthew 28:19-20, and wants to be obedient to the command of Jesus Christ.
