Academic Calendar

The Institutes typically holds two annual sessions, one in the fall and one in the spring. Occasionally, winter and summer classes and/or seminars are offered as well. The actual dates for courses and registration will be announced and posted on the church website.



General

FBCGI is fully committed to providing academic programs that ensure personal Christian growth for the students. It also provides solid biblical foundations in a challenging environment for students who want to pursue further study leading to Christian service.

Not all courses listed are offered during each Institute session. The schedule of available courses is posted prior to registration for fall and spring. Certificates are awarded to students who complete Certificate Levels.



Definition of Terms

Curriculum: The pattern of courses that leads to a specific educational objective. It includes required courses as well as electives.

Core courses: Courses that are required to complete a specific certificate program.

Electives: Courses that students may choose voluntarily to contribute to the balanced program of study in their area of specialization.

Prerequisite: A course that must be completed prior to admission to another course.



Grading System

In keeping with the standard grading system used by The Institutes, grades are awarded as follows:

A 90-100
B 80-89
C 70-79
D 60-69
D 60-69
R Below 60 (repeat course)
CMP Complete (ungraded course)
I Incomplete
WD Withdrew
DRP Dropped
NS No-show
